Meet the Founder

“Good food brings people together, and the flavors of home should travel wherever life takes us.” - Merliyn Joseph

Food storyteller. Entrepreneur. Creator.

For over two decades, Merliyn Joseph has worked at the crossroads of food, media and enterprise — bringing culinary ideas to life for audiences and kitchens alike.

A Life Shaped by Food

Merliyn was part of the early wave that helped bring food programming to Indian television. As co-producer of the iconic cooking show Khana Khazana on Zee TV, she helped shape one of India’s most loved culinary programs alongside celebrated chef Sanjeev Kapoor.

She later produced Nestlé Jhatpat Khana, featuring chefs Salil Phadnis and Maria Goretti, continuing her work of making cooking accessible and exciting for everyday kitchens.

Beyond television, Merliyn is also the co-owner of Just Kerala, a restaurant dedicated to celebrating the rich culinary traditions of Kerala.

Why Simbpli Kerala Was Born

Living between Kerala and the rest of the world, Merliyn saw a common challenge among Malayalis everywhere. We love our food deeply — but cooking authentic Kerala meals often requires time, preparation, and ingredients that are not always easy to find.

That is what inspired Simbpli Kerala.
Simbpli is your Invisible Kitchen Helper, bringing together vegetables, authentic coconut gravies, and traditional spice blends so you can cook a true Kerala meal quickly and easily.

We are here to make traditional Kerala cooking simple, authentic, and joyful. No mystery powders. No artificial shortcuts. No complicated grocery runs.

Just thoughtfully crafted ready-to-cook meal kits and marinades inspired by age-old Kerala recipes.

Every product we create celebrates:
• Honest ingredients
• Time-tested family recipes
• The rich flavors of God’s Own Country
• Support for local farmers and communities

What you cook is exactly what you eat — pure, transparent, and full of heart

Because food isn’t just about taste.
It’s about connection. It’s about memories. It’s about coming home.
